Herm Otto is a licensed architect, with a national (NCARB) certification and a former interior design faculty member at a FIDER accredited university who has chosen to use his architectural and interior design background for aesthetically pleasing placement of fine art in buildings and outdoor spaces.  To this end, Herm independently represents artists, craftspersons and designers for the sale of their art & craft work  to collectors, homeowners, building owners & occupants, and public entities.  High quality fine art & craft, selected carefully and placed appropriately in settings that allow for its best display, is Herm’s ongoing professional goal.

Herm’s  clients include both established & emerging artists & craftspersons.  As an independent representative, Herm is open to representing fine art & craft  in all of its various forms, including paintings, sculpture, printmaking, photography, glass & metal, woodworking, fabric and jewelry.

Herm also provides representation for independent designers of fine or unique furnishings and accessories.  This service expands Herm’s abilities to offer a “turnkey” interior design “fit out” for his end user (buying) clients, including fine art, fine craft, fine furnishings and accessories.

  1. This is an exciting new area!
I have two large images hanging in a local 4 star Hotel, as part of their decor.
The Hotel owner wanted to support local artists and have his hotel be almost a gallery. I was flattered to be selected as part of this effort.
It also opened my mind to the idea of corporate placement, something I had never considered before. I can now see it as a way to bring my art to a larger audience, and to be able to afford me the freedom to pursue a long delayed personal artistic project.
Finding the right agent or rep is next challenge, however!
Perhaps that will be covered, along with costs, in the final chapter.

  2. i love to visit art galleries both home and abroad, art has been my life*:.
